Aboriginal Representatives on the PSAC Equal Opportunities Committee

2008 PSAC National Aboriginal Peoples' Conference
(Winnipeg, September 19 to 21, 2008)

The PSAC Equal Opportunities Committee is an advisory committee of the PSAC National Board of Directors and its mandate includes the promotion of equity issues.

Delegates at the 2008 PSAC National Aboriginal Peoples' Conference will elect

Please note that nominations for these positions may be accepted for PSAC members (in good standing) who identify as Aboriginal members and who will not be attending the Conference by September 5, 2008.

Nominations for Aboriginal members in good standing attending the Conference will close at the Conference itself.

All nominees must be nominated and seconded by members who are delegates to the Conference.

NOMINATIONS

To be nominated for the Aboriginal EOC Representative, a member must:

NOTE: The nominee, nominator and seconder must all provide a signature showing their agreement.

Nominations submitted prior to the 2008 PSAC National Aboriginal Peoples' Conference, in cases where the nominee cannot attend the Conference, may be accompanied by a written letter of no more than a three minute presentation, explaining why the member wishes to be considered for the position. This letter may be read out at the Conference by the nominator or seconder at the Conference within the three minute time period.

The deadline for nominations for Aboriginal EOC Representatives WHO WILL NOT BE ATTENDING the 2008 PSAC National Aboriginal Peoples' Conference is September 5, 2008

National Aboriginal, Inuit, Métis (NAIM) Circle Regional Representatives

2008 PSAC National Aboriginal Peoples' Conference
(Winnipeg, September 19 to 21, 2008)

The PSAC NAIM Circle is mandated to provide a unified voice for the diverse community of PSAC's Aborignal (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) members in order to increase involvement at all levels in our Union, empower one another, and advance Aboriginal Peoples' rights within and beyond our Union.

Delegates at the 2008 PSAC National Aboriginal Peoples' Conference will elect

Please note that delegates will elect their respective Representatives and alternates in their Regional Sessions.

Nominations for these positions may be accepted for PSAC members (in good standing) who identify as Aboriginal members and who will not be attending the Conference by September 5, 2008.

  1. self-identify as being an Aboriginal (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) member from the relevant Region,
  2. be a PSAC member in good standing, and
  3. be nominated and seconded by a member in good standing who also identifies as an Aboriginal member from the relevant Region and will be a delegate at the Conference.
