Treasury Board Tables

Members employed by Treasury Board work in federal government departments and other specified portions of the federal public service (see schedules I and IV of the Financial Administration Act ). In addition to negotiating collective agreements for each of these units, the PSAC has been involved in several initiatives affecting some or all of the Treasury Board units.

Program and Administrative Services (PA) bargaining unit (formerly Table 1). This unit includes over 72,000 employees in nine occupational groups who are responsible for program administration, information services, communications, secretarial services, office equipment, administrative services, welfare programs, clerical functions and data processing.

Operational Services (SV) bargaining unit (formerly Table 2). This unit includes over 11,000 employees in eight occupational groups who are responsible for the operation of federal buildings and services, including firefighters, tradesworkers, storespeople, cooks and hospital workers, lightkeepers and ships' crews.

Technical Services (TC) bargaining unit (formerly Table 3). This unit includes over 10,000 employees in six occupational groups who are responsible for drafting and illustration, engineering and scientific support, photography, and technical and primary products inspection.

Frontière/Border Services (FB) bargaining unit. This occupational group of 7,000 employees in the Canada Border Services Agency is responsible for the planning, development, delivery or management of the inspection and control of people and goods entering Canada.

Education and Library Science (EB) bargaining unit (formerly Table 5) This unit includes over 1,100 employees in three occupational groups who are responsible for education, education support and library services.
